Somatic body of Plants has delicate and extremely complicated external and internal structure specific for each species. Plant geometry is enriched by repetitive patterns at the different levels of its organisation correlated with its cyclic appearance in the course of formative processes. Thus, Plants are a marvellous example of fine geometric structures naturally equipped with a set of automorphic transformations which follow to the species-specific rules or the program of development.
To develop clear and detailed language for description of the structural
complexity of Plants and their developmental programs.
I am focused on the three aspects of the biological existence and self maintaining of plant tissues :
- — geometry of the arrangement of cells and their genealogy;
- — metabolic relations between cells in plant body and
- — programming and control of the developmental changes in the structure and traffic of tissues.
Categorical Description Of Plant Morphogenesis
This article presents formalistic tool for description of structural
and biochemical relations between cells in the course of development of the
body of plants. This is flexible formalistic space, based on the Category theory
and the Petri Net approach, which embeds and mutually supplements biologi-
cal data from methodically different sources. Relation between functional and
morphological ways of plant description was mathematically realized with help
of the adjoint functors. It was shown that histology and proliferative activity
of the formative tissues give a template for the gene interaction networks.
